Interactive Soil Day at Misty Glen Creamery

  • Mistyglen Creamery 47008 Yorke Line Belmont, ON, N0L 1B0 Canada (map)

A big part of farming is maintaining the improving the health of your soil. We use many techniques to achieve this - from reduced tillage, to crop rotation, to erosion prevention, to proper use of fertilizers. It is a huge part of being a good steward of the land.

But what about your own backyard? What can you do to improve your own soils, make use of your household waste and add healthy materials back to your garden or flower beds?

Dan Lizmore from The Wormery at The Grove at Western Fair District is bringing his interactive display to Mistyglen Creamery on Saturday, May 11th from 9am to 3pm, to give people of all ages a hands-on look on how worms can help build healthy soil.

This is a completely free educational event that you and your children will enjoy.
